On Thursday, November 9th @6:00PM in the Curris Center Ball Room, three United Way partner-funded agencies hosted a Hunger Banquet. About more than two hundred guests were hosted during that event. The dinner tables were divided into three types by representing three social levels of people (rich, middle and homeless& poor) so that everybody can feel how it feels to be one these types of household. The guests picked up the random numbers from 1 to 3 and be seated according to their tables and numbers. Number 1 was for low income family dinner table, 3 was for middle and 2was for high income family dinner tables. The event raised $11,445 and distributed among the nonprofit groups of Need Line, Gentry House and Soup for the soul.
