Our Mission

United Way of Murray-Calloway County strives to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community to advance the common good.

Our Goals

  1. Improve education, soft skill education in high schools, to improve after education preparation.

  2. Help people achieve financial stability, especially lower-income families.

  3. Promote healthy lives, and increase the number of youth and adults who live healthy and avoid risky behaviors.

With your help, committed partners and public engagement- we can achieve these goals

United Ways Three Building blocks

for advancing the common good

Education

Education is a cornerstone for success in school, work and life. Setting kids on the path to success begins with early intervention, high quality education and high school preparation for college and career. Education is divided into two factor areas: Childhood Success and youth Success. Childhood Success focuses on early intervention and topics such as early grade reading and school readiness. Youth Success deals with middle, high school graders and post-secondary success.

Health

Good health is an essential ingredient for individual success and a thriving community. Healthy kids are more likely to succeed in school. The whole community will flourish when all of our residents have access to public parks, playgrounds, healthy foods and quality healthcare. We are committed to more than short-term charity for a few; we are committed to lasting solutions that build opportunity for all

Financial Literacy

The whole community benefits when more working individuals and families are able to stop walking a financial tightrope and get on solid ground. That’s why we focus on lasting solutions that go beyond charity, because financially stable people are more likely to have access to quality health care, provide a good education for their children and contribute to their local economies.
